Bradenton man charged in Sarasota shooting incident

A 24-year-old Bradenton man is now facing multiple gun-related charges after a reported shooting Friday night.

Sarasota Police responded to Midtown Plaza near the intersection of US 41 and Bahia Vista Steet. Witnesses say Emilio Hernandez appeared to be intoxicated when he got into an argument with another man.

That’s when they say Hernandez pulled out a pistol and fired three rounds. There were no injuries or property damage reported after the shooting.

He was taken to the Sarasota County Jail but has since been released on bond.

Hernandez is set to appear in court on April 5.
