According to the Boca Raton Police Department, the crash was reported at 5:37 p.m., shutting down all eastbound and westbound lanes of SW 18th Street at the tracks just west of Dixie Highway.
“I heard a loud train honk, then a crack and a little shift to the side,” said a CBS12 News staff member who was on board at the time of the crash.
Police say the southbound lanes of Dixie Highway are also closed at SE 14th Street.
