Cape Coral crash knocks down utility pole, flips SUV

A crash involving two SUVs knocked down a utility pole and caused one vehicle to flip on Diplomat Parkway East in Cape Coral Wednesday night.

According to a Cape Coral police officer on the scene, the crash happened around 8:30 p.m.

The incident shut down westbound lanes while crews worked to clear the scene. Lee County Electric Cooperative has removed the damaged pole. Minor injuries were reported in the crash.
