
92-year-old driver dies nearly a week after Boynton Beach wreck
An elderly Boynton Beach man died Wednesday afternoon, nearly a week after the SUV he was driving went off the road and struck a tree, authorities confirmed. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) confirmed Robert Stein passed away while in hospice care for the injuries he suffered in the wreck. The crash report states Stein, 92, was heading west on Boynton Beach Boulevard around 5:30 p.m. on August 8, and approaching the traffic light at the Lawrence Road intersection.
