A deadly multi-vehicle crash in Seminole is under investigation.  According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, several vehicles were stopped at a red light in the eastbound lanes of Bay Pines Boulevard at 100th Way North shortly after 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday.  That’s when deputies say 43-year-old Joshua Kohlbecker, who was speeding eastbound on Bay Pine Boulevard in an F-150, didn’t stop for the light and hit a yellow Ford Mustang. It happened around 6:45 a.m. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the 78-year-old Century man was traveling on W Highway 4 in his pickup truck pulling a trailer when he pulled over to side of the road to check a tire. His vehicle was still partially in the roadway as he got out to inspect his tire.

A South Florida mother is facing child neglect charges after her young child was found screaming in a hot car from a Walmart parking lot on Sunday. Officers with the Hollywood Police Department responded to the store’s parking lot just after 3 p.m. after a witness heard the child screaming from a cracked window. A woman was shot at by two unknown attackers Tuesday night while sitting in her car on Emerson Street near Spring Glen Road. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded around 7:45 p.m. to the area after someone called and said a woman was being shot. Police said the woman was sitting in her car when two unknown individuals holding guns approached her. An Alva man was arrested after a five-month investigation connected him to a fatal crash on the Caloosahatchee Bridge in February. Fort Myers police arrested Jamaine Washington, 43, on Tuesday for charges of vehicular homicide, driving with license suspended and providing false statement to law enforcement. On Feb. 11, reports say a 23-year-old male was driving his motorcycle northbound on the bridge. Washington was also speeding northbound on the bridge when he rear-ended the victim, killing him. A driver was arrested after crashing into cars and leading deputies on a pursuit through Miami-Dade and Broward counties on Tuesday, the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.
