According to Florida Highway Patrol, 47-year-old Brian Arce rammed into a 23-year-old skateboarder from Port Charlotte. Troopers say the skateboarder was in the bike lane when the front of the Arce’s sedan hit him. Official reports go on to say that Arce got out of the car to survey the damage before getting back inside and fleeing. Law enforcement eventually caught up

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating a police shooting that occurred Tuesday night in the city of Miami, authorities confirmed. Miami police Officer Kiara Delva, who is also a spokeswoman for the police department, confirmed that the shooting occurred in the area of Northeast Second Avenue and 25th Street. One person was rushed to the hospital after being shot in Hollywood. Detectives believe a troubled 14-year-old girl lured a 25-year-old man to a carjacking that devolved into a deadly crime spree in Broward County. Two people were arrested after they attempted to steal wireless earbuds during an online marketplace meetup in Melbourne, police said.  On June 13, Melbourne police responded to the Palmview Cove Apartments regarding reports of gunshots fired. A woman accused in a deadly crash that happened back in January has been arrested, according to the Daytona Beach Police Department. The woman was identified as 24-year-old Starlett Tabares, who is facing DUI and vehicular homicide charges. Investigators said the incident happened on the weekend of the Rolex 24 race.
