A student was arrested during the summer session at Seminole High School after someone tipped off investigators that they had brought a weapon to campus, according to the district. A message sent to parents said the weapon was found inside the student’s backpack; however, the student had not threatened anyone with it. The message did not reveal any information about the student’s identity or what charges they might face. The district also did not say what type of weapon the student brought onto campus.

A Charlotte County man was arrested after he allegedly exposed himself to a juvenile girl and took photos of a female in a skirt while she was walking through a store. According to the Arcadia Police Department, on May 28, police received complaints that a man was exposing himself and acting suspiciously at three businesses. It took place at the 400 block of Old Corry Field Road at 7:03 a.m. Approximately 50% of the home was immersed in flames, according to ECFR. A 54-year-old woman was killed and a baby boy was taken to the hospital after a single-vehicle crash in unincorporated St. Lucie County on Tuesday afternoon. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the woman was driving a 2013 Ford Edge along South Brocksmith Road, just north of State Road 70. According to the St. Pete Police Department, at 9:22 p.m. on Tuesday, Kathy Repke was walking in a marked crosswalk from east to west in the 6900 block of 4th Street North when she was struck by a car. The Florida Highway Patrol and the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for a fatal hit-and-run that occurred in Port Charlotte. Deputies and troopers responded to the fatal crash at around 9:24 p.m. on Tuesday near the intersection of US-41 South and Main Street. Orlando investigators are working to learn what led to a shooting that left a man injured on Tuesday night. Police said they responded to Lauderdale Court off S John Young Parkway for a reported shooting and found a man with a gunshot wound.
