A Miami woman is facing a first-degree felony charge after police said she assaulted a west Miami-Dade pet store worker over a purchase of crickets. A motorcyclist was seriously injured Tuesday after reportedly fleeing from a traffic stop on Interstate 75 northbound and crashing into a pickup truck and trailer in south Fort Myers. Victim hospitalized after northeast Miami-Dade shooting

Miami-Dade police investigated a shooting Tuesday morning that left one person injured. It happened at around 10 a.m. in the 1400 block of Northeast 117th Street, just south of North Miami.
