A man died on Thursday after his kayak capsized in Brevard County, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. The 62-year-old man was in a tandem kayak with a 44-year-old woman when the vessel capsized during a guided tour of Turkey Creek, FWC said in a statement. The woman was able to return to the kayak, but the man could not be located after he entered the water, the statement reads. He was later recovered dead, FWC said.

Two Clay County deputies were taken to a hospital Thursday evening after being attacked by dogs, according to the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. The deputies were responding to a service call on Foxtail Avenue in Middleburg, CCSO said, when they were attacked by “multiple dogs.” The exact number was not immediately disclosed.
