A Dade City woman is dead following a two-vehicle collision in Pasco County on Wednesday evening. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the fatal collision happened shortly before 7 p.m. on Jan. 21, when a Ford F-150 driven by a 16-year-old driver was headed northbound on Curley Road. Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said a Brooksville woman lost her life Thursday during a crash on Mondon Hill Road in Hernando County. FHP said a Ford Taurus driven by a 39-year-old woman was headed eastbound on Mondon Hill Road near Jasmine Drive, when she failed to negotiate a curve.  The Ford left the roadway, and as it was rotating, struck a tree, per the report. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) arrested a Largo group home and daycare employee, who is charged with child abuse of a non-verbal child with autism. PCSO said deputies responded in December of 2025, after the father of the non-verbal child noticed multiple injuries during picking the child up. A multi-vehicle crash caused major traffic delays Thursday on Florida’s Turnpike in Osceola County.  The crash happened on Florida’s Turnpike northbound near mile marker 246.
