A boat crashed into a piling in Charlotte County, leaving two injured, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission confirmed. A woman died Saturday evening after crashing into a culvert off U.S. 301 near the Clay County line, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The woman was driving north on U.S. 301, about half a mile South of the Clay County line, and for unknown reasons, her car left the roadway onto the right shoulder and crashed into a culvert before continuing into the tree line, FHP said.  A woman was in critical condition after being shot multiple times early Sunday morning on Jacksonville’s northside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The shooting occurred around 1 a.m. on Kingfisher Lane, just off Biscayne Boulevard. Officers responding to the scene found a woman in her 30s suffering from life-threatening injuries. Investigators said the shooting resulted from a domestic fight inside the home where the woman was found. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and remained in critical condition.

 A 22-year-old man from Green Cove Springs was killed Saturday night in a single-car crash after the driver lost control in rainy conditions, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Crews from North Port Fire Rescue put out a motorcycle fire at a gas station. They say that they and the North Port Police Department responded to reports of a motorcycle on fire at a Circle K on Bobcat Trail.
