A Davie police officer fired at a driver who hit him while fleeing a traffic stop overnight Monday, officials said. According to the Davie Police Department, officers responded to the area of Davie Reese roads at around midnight after receiving reports of a vehicle with a stolen license plate. A 33-year-old Pensacola man was arrested for DUI manslaughter on Monday morning after a crash that resulted in the death of a passenger in Escambia County.
