Source: fox13news The Brief Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a structure fire just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday morning.  The home is in the 1700 block of East Powhatan Avenue. When crews first arrived, they found the single-family home with heavy smoke coming from the front corner of the house.  The fire was brought under control within approximately 25 minutes. Firefighters searched the residence and were able to rescue two cats. The homeowner was able to get out before crews arrived.

The Brief An ambulance with a patient inside was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Saturday evening, according to the Bradenton Police Department. The crash happened just before 10 p.m. at Perico Bay Blvd. and Manatee Ave. W right before the bridge to Anna Maria Island. A woman was injured during a shooting on Sunday afternoon in Fort Lauderdale, police said. Police officers responded shortly after 3:35 p.m. to the area of West Cypress Creek Road and 31 Avenue, and they were searching for the shooter.
