 A 44-year-old woman was arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of a 69-year-old man in Grand Park. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office announced the arrest of TO on Tuesday. On Friday, David Spivey was found stabbed in his chest on West 30th Street in the Grand Park area. JSO did not provide details on what led to the stabbing. An old battery pack inside solar panels caused a fire at a home on Sharwood Drive in North Naples around 4:30 p.m. Monday. It was quickly contained by firefighters from the nearby Station 45. Heather Mazurkiewicz of the North Collier Fire Rescue District said, “Our crews could see the column of smoke from Immokalee Road. Our crews were here and started to prepare even before the call came in. So, they were on-scene within moments of the call coming in.”

Crews responded to a house fire around 6:54 a.m. at the 8600 block of Hickory Lane after receiving multiple 911 calls. Arriving at the home, HCFR encountered heavy smoke and flames coming from a fully involved, wood-framed home.
