A 32-year-old Deltona man on a motorcycle was killed after he collided with a minibike in a residential neighborhood, the Volusia Sheriff’s Office said. It happened Sunday evening at the intersection of Utah and Captain drives. The Marianna Police Department responded to the Gibbs Apartment Complex, located on Milton Avenue, on Sunday evening. According to a news release, the incident happened at approximately 5:20 p.m. after a report of a person who had been shot multiple times. Upon arrival, officers attempted to render lifesaving aid; however, efforts were unsuccessful. Officers confirmed the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officers and investigators with the Marianna Police Department immediately began a homicide investigation. The investigation remains ongoing.

A 21-year-old man armed with a knife attacked a woman and tried to rape her in an apartment complex’s shared laundry room in Hialeah, according to police. Hernando County Fire Rescue responded around 7 a.m. Monday in the area of Cortez Boulevard at Mobley Road in Brooksville. Pictures from HCFR show a pickup truck and an SUV severely damaged.
