A crash involving injuries shut down Everglades Boulevard at 47th Avenue Northeast on Monday night. According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, deputies advised drivers to seek alternate routes after both the northbound and southbound lanes on Everglades Boulevard at 47th Avenue Northeast were closed. CCSO confirmed that at least one person was sent to the hospital as a trauma alert. CCSO and the Florida Highway Patrol are investigating the crash. This is a developing story and will be updated.

Photo by: (Florida 511) An Amazon delivery truck burst into flames on the shoulder of Interstate 10 west near mile marker 198 Monday evening, slowing traffic and creating a dramatic, fiery scene for passing drivers. According to a Florida Highway Patrol spokesperson, the driver saw the vehicle start to smolder and pulled off to the side of the interstate. He was able to escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed in flames. The cause of the fire remains unclear.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that there was a fatal crash on State Road 64— West of Duette Road. According the report, the 53-year-old driver crossed into the oncoming lane and onto the north shoulder before hitting a fence and colliding into two trees. Miami police are investigating a shooting that occurred Monday night. It happened at approximately 6:37 p.m. in the area of 76th Street and North Miami Avenue. According to police, responding officers found a 30-year-old man who had been shot in the buttocks, but they found him a few blocks away, near 71st Street and North Miami Avenue. A man is in the hospital after authorities found him unconscious due to carbon monoxide exposure inside a storage facility in Fort Lauderdale. A motorcyclist died on Monday night after they were involved in a crash with an SUV in the Northwest Jacksonville area, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
