A 72-year-old man was killed in a crash in Lake County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash occurred around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on U.S. 27 south of Ruby Red Boulevard. According to an FHP crash report, a driver of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler, a 72-year-old man from Winter Haven, was traveling southbound on U.S. 27 when he “may have suffered a medical episode”. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which ran off the roadway to the right.

A 21-year-old Orlando man was killed Thursday in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal wreck happened around 12:20 p.m. on Fort Christmas Road at Wheeler Road in Christmas. The FHP said the man was riding a 2020 Yamaha MTN1000 north on Fort Christmas Road and failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the roadway. A suspect has been arrested after a man and a woman were shot and killed on Thursday in Orange County, the sheriff’s office said. Around 4:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 600 block of Cedar Bend Circle, at the Academy at Waterford Lakes Apartments. Port St. Lucie Police are investigating a crash involving a vehicle and a UTV that resulted in serious injuries on Thanksgiving night.
