A 25-year-old Navarre man is critically injured after being struck by a sedan in Okaloosa County on Wednesday night. Troopers say the incident occurred at 9 p.m. on SR-85 (Eglin Parkway) north of Sunset Drive when the pedestrian, for unknown reasons, entered the northbound outside lane and was hit by the sedan driven by a 49-year-old Shalimar man. The pedestrian was transported to HCA Florida Destin-Fort Walton Emergency Room with critical injuries. The crash is currently under investigation. No further

Authorities are investigating a fatal crash that occurred at the intersection of Seminole Boulevard and Valencia Terrace. According to investigators at the scene, a car collided with an e-bike. The e-bike rider, 82-year-old Darell Groves, was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. The driver of the car, 62-year-old John Baustert, was not injured and cooperated fully with deputies at the scene. The West Palm beach Police Department said at about 6:45 p.m., officers responded to a train v. pedestrian crash along Clare Avenue. Flames ripped through an Orlando apartment complex early Thursday, displacing seven residents, although no one was seriously injured, officials said. The fire broke out at the Royal Isles apartment homes off Roberto Clemente Road near Semoran Boulevard. A 38-year-old DeLand man died late Wednesday in a single-vehicle crash along Interstate 4 in Volusia County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal wreck happened around 10 p.m. on I-4 east, west of DeBary Avenue. The FHP said the man was driving a 2018 Honda Civic when the vehicle left the road for an unknown reason and struck a fence and two trees. The man, who was wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP crash report.

Firefighters were battling a blaze at an Escambia County home Wednesday evening. Crews were out at a home on the 100 block of Georgia Drive. They responded around 6:30 p.m. The county described the fire to be “fully involved.” The fire was out by 7:07 p.m. There were no injuries. According to the county, no occupants were in the home.
