The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said a teenager was killed after being struck by a car while riding his motorcycle Saturday night. Police said 19-year-old Blue Scott was traveling north on County Line Road just before 10 p.m., when a Nissan Altima was exiting a parking lot driveway onto the road. A dog was rescued Saturday after it was trapped inside a house that caught fire in Clearwater. According to a release, at 6:42 a.m. Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire on Barbara Avenue. At the scene, firefighters extinguished the fire and rescued a dog that was trapped inside the burning structure. A man is dead after Hillsborough County Sheriff deputies said he was holding his seven-year-old brother in a chokehold with a knife. According to the sheriff’s office, around 2 p.m., deputies responded to a call regarding an ongoing domestic violence incident. Hillsborough County Chief Deputy Joseph Maurer said the suspect’s sister letting them know that 27-year-old MC was cutting her, causing her to bleed from her mouth. She then advised deputies that he took their seven-year-old brother to a bedroom.

A man died Sunday morning following a house fire in the Moncrief neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
