A 70-year-old Pensacola woman was killed in a head-on collision in Escambia County last Thursday evening. According to Florida Highway Patrol the crash happened on Highway 97 just north of South Highway 99 around 7:50 p.m. FHP says the crash involved a Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Cruz. Both were traveling on State Road 97 when the vehicles collided. The other driver involved was a 31-year Atmore woman. She only received minor injuries. An investigation is ongoing. What to Do After

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 32-year-old man from Jamaica died as a result of a car accident on Friday night. FHP says the man was riding an electric scooter west in the eastbound turn lane of Hwy 98. He was going against traffic but then moved into the bike lane. A fire erupted at a home along Pearl Street in Fort Myers Beach Monday afternoon. According to the Fort Myers Beach Fire Control District, crews were dispatched to the home at approximately 3:30 p.m. and confirmed flames were coming out of the back of the residence.
