A dog was rescued Saturday after it was trapped inside a house that caught fire in Clearwater. According to a release, at 6:42 a.m. Clearwater Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire on Barbara Avenue. A man is dead after Hillsborough County Sheriff deputies said he was holding his seven-year-old brother in a chokehold with a knife. According to the sheriff’s office, around 2 p.m., deputies responded to a call regarding an ongoing domestic violence incident.
