An impaired driver was arrested in a fatal Largo crash on Sunday that killed his 18-year-old passenger, authorities said.  Panama City Beach Police responded to a fatal motorcycle crash in front of Alvin’s Island on 9401 Thomas Drive early Saturday morning. Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Thomas Drive when it left the roadway into the Alvin’s Island parking lot for unknown reasons. According to a news release, the motorcycle struck a curb, ejected the driver, and came to a final rest on the southeast end of the parking lot. The driver sustained serious head trauma.

The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for the driver who fled from a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist and his passenger in Brevard County overnight. An 8-year-old girl is recovering after being attacked by a dog in Hollywood on Friday afternoon, and the incident was captured on video. According to Hollywood Police, on Friday, at around 2:17 p.m., officers received reports of a dog bite in the 1800 block of Funston Street.
