According to the fire chief on the scene, crews responded to a house fire call on Rue Viauv Avenue in Bonita Springs around 12:40 a.m. A Gulf Coast News reporter on the scene spoke to the fire chief, who said that the fire started in the kitchen and then spread to the bathroom and bedroom.
