The crash occurred Wednesday morning three miles south of Bermont Road. At 7:07 a.m., Charlotte County Public Safety crews were dispatched to State Road 31 and Bermont Rd. for a head-on collision. CCPS said that an off-duty firefighters was first on scene and immediately stopped to help until responding crews arrived. Engine 9 arrived to find two vehicles with significant front-end damage. A 75-year-old man died after losing control of his E-bike in Port Charlotte. The incident occurred on the Harbor Boulevard east side sidewalk on early Tuesday morning, where the E-bike collided with shrubbery and a lamp post. The man was separated from the bike and landed on the grass shoulder. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A pedestrian lost their life after being struck by a vehicle late Wednesday night in West Palm Beach.
