A woman arrested on Saturday morning for allegedly shooting another woman in Miami Gardens is claiming she fired in self-defense. A 3-year-old girl is in critical condition after being hit by a car while in the road in Escambia County on Sunday. The crash happened around 6 a.m. on Highway 29 near E Herman Avenue.  A shooting involving a Broward Sheriff’s Office deputy occurred Sunday evening in unincorporated Broward County, authorities confirmed. According to BSO, the agency received a call around 5:35 p.m. about a man walking around the Franklin Park area, in the 2500 block of Northwest Ninth Court, waving a gun.  A Jacksonville man died Sunday night after being hit by two cars on Philips Highway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
