The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said late Thursday night that a woman died after she was hit by a pickup truck while attempting to cross over Kings Avenue. Police said the pickup truck was heading south on Kings Avenue when the incident occurred, adding that the woman was about 35 yards away from the nearest crosswalk when she was hit.
