A man died Wednesday night following a shooting near Jacksonville’s Avondale neighborhood, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. One of the victims of a North Captiva house fire has died almost a month after the incident. Sandra Patton, the caregiver of the man whose home caught fire, passed away on Saturday from her injuries.
