Guests at a Miami Beach hostel have been relocated after a fire broke out on the second floor. Two people were taken to the hospital Monday after a car slammed into a Sarasota business, police said. The incident happened around 11:30 a.m. at a business located off Bahia Vista Street, according to the Sarasota Police Department. Officers said the vehicle was sent crashing into the business after the driver mistakenly pressed the gas instead of the brake. A 6-year-old girl was the only survivor after an SUV lost control on I-4 Sunday evening and traveled off the highway, the Florida Highway Patrol said. One person is dead following a three-car crash Sunday evening outside of the Indian Spring community near Boynton Beach. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a Lexus sedan was driving south on El Clair Ranch Road, and a Ram pickup truck was driving west on Woolbright Road, when both cars entered the intersection. A semi crash that caused a fuel leak on I-95 northbound, north of International Golf Parkway, shut down the highway for two hours on Monday afternoon. The crash, which involved a jack-knifed semi and required Hazmat crews to secure the leak, was first reported just before noon. Lanes reopened by 2 p.m, and no injuries were reported.
