A man was found dead inside a Boynton Beach house when firefighters responded to a Sunday morning fire. Firefighters with the Boynton Beach Fire Rescue (BBFR) responded to a home near Venice Drive at 10 a.m. for reports of smoke. Both BBFR and the Boynton Beach Police Department (BBPD) arrived on scene, where they reportedly located a deceased man inside the house. Detectives and the State Fire Marshal are investigating the nature of the fire and the cause of death.

A family who lives in the Olympia Heights neighborhood in Southwest Miami-Dade are picking up the pieces after an overnight fire forced them out of their home. Officials with the New Smyrna Beach Fire Department responded to a fire Saturday morning at Norwood’s Restaurant & Treehouse Bar, according to officials. Fire crews responded out to the location on 2nd Avenue around 11:23 a.m. Upon arrival to the location, the smoker hut was found with moderate fire, according to officials. The fire did not spread to other areas of the building. Smoke from the fire obstructed visibility for a time in the area of 3rd Avenue, officials said.

A motorcyclist died Sunday night in a crash at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and San Mateo Avenue, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said.
