Officers and firefighters responded to the crash around 10:30 a.m. in the area of South Street and Clarendon Avenue. Police said there were two people aboard the plane, and both were taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The airport was briefly shut down but has since reopened.

Police are investigating after a man was found shot in a parking garage of a Lauderhill apartment complex on Thursday. Officers responded to the shooting around 4 p.m. at 7041 Environ Boulevard and found the man suffering from a gunshot wound in the parking garage, Lauderhill Police said. Two men were critically injured in a crash early Friday morning on Okaloosa Island. It happened around 12:40 a.m. on Highway 98 near Gulf National Sea Shore Drive. A 22-year-old Pensacola man was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Thursday night. It happened around 10:50 p.m. on Beulah Road near Helms Road.
