A 66-year-old man died after being hit by a semitrailer in DeSoto County on Sunday evening, after troopers say the sport utility vehicle turned into the truck’s path. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the SUV was heading east on County Road 760A around 7:30 p.m. when the driver turned left at state Road 31 and into the path of a semitrailer.
