A firefighter with the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department was transported to a hospital Monday morning after being injured while responding to a house fire in the Mixon Town area, officials said. A death investigation is underway after deputies say they found a man dead in the water at Anclote Island. The Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene Saturday afternoon, where they found the man floating in the water next to a jet ski.
