 Three teenagers were injured following a UTV crash in the Southport area near White Oaks Boulevard Thursday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 8 p.m., three 14-year-old girls were heading east in a retention pond when the UTV overturned. A semitrailer overturned in a crash early Friday, prompting the closure of Florida’s Turnpike in Lake County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The wreck happened around 5 a.m. at mile marker 287 near Leesburg. All southbound lanes of the Turnpike were closed in the area, but the right lane was later reopened.
