Police officers investigating the shooting found the man suffering from gunshot wounds at about 12:15 a.m. on the 2900 block of Northwest 56th Avenue. According to JSO, a ShotSpotter alert was activated around 9:30 p.m., prompting a nearby patrol officer to respond.
