Photo by: NorthEscambia.com Two people were injured in a crash in Escambia County Saturday morning involving a car and a rural mail carrier’s vehicle. The incident occurred at approximately 9:40 a.m. on the northbound side of Highway 29, situated between Cox Road and Sigler Road, north of McDavid. Firefighters were required to extricate the mail carrier from their vehicle following the crash, according to deputies. Both drivers were subsequently transported to local hospitals by Newman’s Ambulance and Escambia County EMS.

The Tampa Police Department said it is investigating a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning. Officers responded to reports of shots fired on Adamo Drive at around 3 a.m. and found a deceased man. The incident appears to have happened outside a strip club.
