Photo by: wesh An apartment home was damaged Wednesday morning after an explosion possibly involving a propane tank. Seminole County Fire Rescue said crews responded to a report of a fire on Mosswood Circle in Winter Springs before noon. When they arrived, the front of the apartment home was engulfed in flames. SCFR said the fire was extinguished in less than four minutes. A dog was killed in the fire. Two other pets were rescued. Longwood Fire Rescue also responded.

Firefighters are battling a blaze Wednesday afternoon at a home near an elementary school in San Carlos Park, sending thick smoke into the air. The fire is on the 17000 block of Caloosa Trace Circle, less than a block from San Carlos Park Elementary School. Video from the scene shows dark smoke rising above the neighborhood. A West Palm Beach man, EG, has been charged with attempted murder after he was found trying to suffocate his 2-month-old son on multiple occasions. On Monday, the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD) responded to a distress call at a residence on Erie Place. A man was arrested after deputies say he stabbed a victim in Tampa on May 9. The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said that on the day of the incident, deputies responded to a call about a possible altercation on University Club Drive around 7:05 p.m. When they arrived, they found the victim, who had been stabbed in the upper body. The victim was seriously injured and taken to the hospital. During an investigation, detectives identified 22-year-old CF as a suspect.

A frustrated Villager allegedly attacked a woman who tried to help him with a computer problem.  At least two people were injured in a crash in Escambia County on Tuesday. The crash occurred on Highway 29 in Cantonment around 5:15 p.m. near the entrance to Northgate Plaza and the Grocery Advantage. A person was injured and transported to a nearby hospital following a shooting on Tuesday afternoon at the Lynx Central Station, the Orlando Police Department said. Orlando police officers responded to 455 North Garland Avenue around 3:34 p.m. in reference to shots fired. A suspect has been detained, OPD said, and there is no threat to the public. A Sarasota police officer is under investigation after firing his weapon Tuesday morning during a response to a dog bite complaint. In a post shared on Facebook, the Sarasota Police Department said officers were called to a home on North Links Avenue.
