A middle school teacher was arrested Sunday for crashing into and killing a woman and her unborn child while she was drunk driving in February last year.  A single-vehicle crash on I-95 left two people dead and another seriously injured Saturday evening, according to Martin County Fire Rescue (MCFR). The crash was reported around 8:40 p.m. near mile marker 110, at the Palm City exit. MCFR says two vehicle occupants were pronounced deceased at the scene.  Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies investigated a Saturday morning shooting that left a boy hurt. It happened at around 10:45 a.m. near the 600 block of Northwest 16th Street in Pompano Beach. A Florida Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a crash Sunday morning. It happened in the eastbound lanes of State Road 826 at approximately 6:50 a.m. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a gray Kia drove into a work zone and struck a parked white Ford truck, which caused the the truck to hit a parked, marked FHP vehicle that had its emergency lights activated.  A pedestrian was killed in a crash in Pasco County on Saturday evening, the Florida Highway Patrol said. At around 10:05 p.m., a Buick Century, driven by a 30-year-old Holiday man, was traveling eastbound on Plathe Road. A Fort Myers man has been arrested by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office after being accused of robbing a business and shooting an employee.
