One person was shot Sunday night after a physical altercation between two groups of people broke out at an establishment in Downtown Miami, authorities said. According to Miami police, the shooting occurred just before 11 p.m. in the area of 150 NE Eighth St. “Two groups were involved in a physical altercation inside of the location. A Palm Coast man died Monday morning in a head-on crash in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. According to FHP, around 6:40 a.m., a 19-year-old man was driving an SUV north on Belle Terre Boulevard, and a 65-year-old man driving a pickup truck was traveling south. For unknown reasons, the 19-year-old driver crossed over the solid double-yellow lane line, striking the pickup truck head-on, troopers said. The 65-year-old man died on the scene. Two people are dead after an altercation escalated into gunfire in Northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, there was some sort of confrontation between four people near a food truck at the intersection of Northwest 30th Street and Northwest 27th Avenue; that’s when the aggressor discharged his weapon and fired into the group, striking a man and a woman. “Upon the arrival of the deputies, they were able to discover two victims with apparent gunshot wounds,”

A 52-year-old Ocala man was struck and killed Sunday night in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal wreck happened around 9:35 p.m. on U.S. 441 near near SE 3rd Avenue. The FHP said a 27-year-old Reddick woman was driving a car south on U.S. 441 and did not observe the man, who was standing in the outside southbound lane. The car struck the man, who was pronounced dead at the scene, according to an FHP crash report.

The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 23-year-old woman from Orlando died in a single-car crash in Orange County on Sunday. Per FHP, the woman was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa northbound on Lake Pickett Road south of Priest Court when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of the vehicle. The car overcorrected, ran off the roadway to the right, struck a mailbox, became airborne, and then hit a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The

The chain-reaction crash on the 429 near Apopka resulted in multiple hospitalizations, including one trauma alert in stable condition, FHP said. The crash involved a 2013 Ford F150, a 2024 Cadillac Escalade, a 2022 Infiniti QX60, and a 2021 Hyundai Elantra. One of the vehicles, a pickup truck, ended up upside down. Orlando police announced they have arrested the person they said shot and killed a 46-year-old man in the Magic Mall parking lot on Sunday morning, according to a news release. Police said they responded to a report of a shooting at the business located at 2155 West Colonial Drive around 2:19 a.m. According to the release, officers found the victim, identified as 46-year-old Joseph U.  Marion County Firefighters saved a cat from a burning building. They shared video of the rescue on Facebook. Firefighters got to the house on Southeast 15th Avenue in Ocala around 5 April, 5. You could see flames coming out of the house. They were able to bust in and save a cat trapped inside the home. Nobody else was inside at the time. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating a shooting in the unincorporated Biscayne Gardens area Saturday morning that left a woman dead and two children in critical condition. A Miramar police officer and a suspect were injured during a car crash late Saturday night in Fort Lauderdale. According to the Miramar Police Department, the crash happened at about 11 p.m., at Andrews Avenue and Southeast 17th Street.  Officers from the Lauderhill Police Department are searching for a shooter after they say a 16-year-old boy was shot and taken to the hospital. It happened along the 5500 block of Northwest 27th Court in Lauderhill at approximately 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Neighbors said they heard at least two gunshots. Investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting, but they say the boy was walking when gunfire erupted. Authorities said they found him at the scene and first responders
