An Oakleaf High School student was hit by a car Wednesday morning while riding a scooter near Argyle Forest Boulevard and Old Middleburg Road, according to officials.  The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department received the call around 6:45 a.m. regarding the incident. JFRD said the victim sustained serious injuries in the crash. Two people were hospitalized and are facing charges after a possible stabbing at a Hollywood home early Thursday that police said was domestic-related. The investigation appeared to center around a home at Sherman Street and Northwest 24th Avenue, which is right off of Interstate 95 and Sheridan Street. An 86-year-old Villager was arrested after allegedly slapping wife. Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were called shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday to a home in the Village of Ashland where R B was taken into custody on a felony charge of battery. Kissimmee police have responded to a fatal crash on Wednesday afternoon. The crash occurred at the intersection of Vine Street (HW 192) and Hoagland Boulevard.
