A 72-year-old Gainesville woman was killed in Clay County Monday afternoon after a pickup truck crashed into her SUV, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The passenger of the SUV, whose identification is pending, was also critically injured, FHP said. FHP said the crash occurred on State Road 21, just north of Dade Road, around 4:30 p.m. in Clay County when the pickup truck, which was heading north, entered the roadway’s southbound lane and crashed into the front of the SUV.

Polk County firefighters were able to rescue a person from a burning mobile home in Mulberry Saturday morning. Polk County Fire Rescue (PCFR) said firefighters were called to the residence at 3541 Shady Brook Drive W. around 7:30 a.m. for reports of a fire. A Palm Coast man died Monday morning in a head-on crash in Flagler County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Two people are dead after an altercation escalated into gunfire in Northwest Miami-Dade, authorities said. A 52-year-old Ocala man was struck and killed Sunday night in Marion County, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The fatal wreck happened around 9:35 p.m. on U.S. 441 near near SE 3rd Avenue.
