A semi-truck crashed into an electric pole in Alachua early Friday morning. According to the Alachua Police Department, the crash happened on Northwest 140th Street and Northwest 158th Avenue. A child is dead following a crash involving a vehicle and an e-bike on Thursday, according to the Jupiter Police Department. According to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue (PBCFR), at around 7:50 p.m., units were dispatched to Indian Creek Parkway and South Pennock Lane after receiving reports of the crash. Upon arrival, police learned there were two boys traveling on an e-bike when the crash occurred. One of the boy’s was taken to a hospital as a trauma alert.

The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office asked neighbors in LaBelle to stay in their homes while they attempted to track down a suspect after a crash Thursday night. According to the sheriff’s office, K-9 units were attempting a traffic stop in the area of Sioux Ave and Cheyenne Avenue, when the driver of the suspect vehicle accelerated and crashed into two other vehicles at the end of Sioux Ave. HCSO said an unidentified person ran from the vehicle into the woods.

Authorities are investigating after a young man was found shot to death in Homestead Wednesday night.
