The Florida Highway Patrol reported that a 23-year-old woman from Orlando died in a single-car crash in Orange County on Sunday. Per FHP, the woman was driving a 2019 Nissan Versa northbound on Lake Pickett Road south of Priest Court when, for an unknown reason, she lost control of the vehicle. The car overcorrected, ran off the roadway to the right, struck a mailbox, became airborne, and then hit a tree. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The

The chain-reaction crash on the 429 near Apopka resulted in multiple hospitalizations, including one trauma alert in stable condition, FHP said. The crash involved a 2013 Ford F150, a 2024 Cadillac Escalade, a 2022 Infiniti QX60, and a 2021 Hyundai Elantra. One of the vehicles, a pickup truck, ended up upside down. Orlando police announced they have arrested the person they said shot and killed a 46-year-old man in the Magic Mall parking lot on Sunday morning, according to a news release. Police said they responded to a report of a shooting at the business located at 2155 West Colonial Drive around 2:19 a.m. According to the release, officers found the victim, identified as 46-year-old Joseph U.  Marion County Firefighters saved a cat from a burning building. They shared video of the rescue on Facebook. Firefighters got to the house on Southeast 15th Avenue in Ocala around 5 April, 5. Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office deputies were investigating a shooting in the unincorporated Biscayne Gardens area Saturday morning that left a woman dead and two children in critical condition.
