An investigation is underway in Palmetto Bay after a fatal crash involving a vehicle and bicyclist, deputies said. According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened at Southwest 160th Street between 81st and 82nd avenues. The deceased has not been identified. On Feb. 2, a male victim and 69-year-old Judy Caldwell were drinking alcoholic beverages, according to an affidavit of probable cause out of Lake County. A man is dead after a pickup truck collided with a bicyclist on CR-951 and 17th Avenue SW in Golden Gate on Tuesday night. The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m. where they said the crash involved a 44-year-old Naples man and a 49-year-old male cyclist. According to FHP, the bicyclist was critically injured after colliding with the pickup truck. The cyclist was reportedly taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead from injuries.
