An Orlando man was killed and another man was injured early Monday in a rear-end crash on Orange Blossom Trail in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 12:20 a.m. near Hunter’s Creek Boulevard. According to a crash report, a 2025 Volkswagen Atlas was speeding south on OBT and failed to stop for a 2012 Mazda 3 that was stopped at a traffic signal. The Volkswagen collided with the back of the Mazda, troopers said.

 A Florida deputy was hospitalized after a driver making a U-turn struck his motorcycle on Saturday. According to the Volusia Sheriff’s Office, a deputy was traveling eastbound toward the Speedway in Daytona Beach on his agency motorcycle. Another driver made a U-turn on International Speedway Boulevard and pulled out in front of the deputy’s motorcycle at Roosevelt Boulevard. Drivers encountered a traffic mess along the Julia Tuttle Causeway on Sunday morning. All westbound lanes were shut down early Sunday due to a crash. It occurred just before Biscayne Boulevard around 5 a.m. Traffic was a mess for hours afterwards. Police have yet to provide any information on the circumstances of what led up to the crash. An investigation is ongoing after a fatal crash in Miami-Dade County. It happened Sunday near the intersection of Northwest 56th Street and 32nd Avenue. According to deputies, a man riding a motorcycle and his female passenger were both killed after being struck by a vehicle. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue rushed to the scene and pronounced both deceased. The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was detained pending the investigation. Authorities have not released the identities of the victims.

A man was injured on Sunday afternoon after accidentally shooting himself at the Florida Mall, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
