Man shot, killed in Zephyrhills, deputies say

 A man was shot and killed in Zephyrhills on Thursday night, the Pasco Sheriff’s Office announced. Deputies responded to Stillman Street and Calvin Avenue around 10:30 p.m. and found a man lying in the roadway unresponsive. “It’s scary, you really need to look out for your neighbors,” said AT, a neighbor. According to PSO, an electric wheelchair was also in the road, and it is believed it belonged to the victim. The Sheriff’s Office has not released the victim’s identity.

A man was killed and a woman was injured just after midnight Friday in a double shooting at the Hometown Inn & Suites just off Philips Highway in the Southpoint area of Jacksonville, police said. A teen was shot and injured Thursday morning on Skyline Boulevard, and two juveniles are now in custody, according to the Cape Coral Police Department. A Cocoa woman is safe, although her house is a total loss after a fire Thursday morning. The fire was in the 1200 block of Fern Street. Hyde Park Cafe catches fire, causing road closures and delays in South Tampa

Tampa Fire Rescue worked to put out a blaze Wednesday afternoon at the Hyde Park Cafe. Crews responded to the South Tampa bar and restaurant just after 3:30 p.m. to find heavy smoke coming from the roof of the building.  They used several hose lines for an interior attack on the fire and an aerial ladder truck to access the roof.
