Preliminary details say that the Chevy Suburban was attempting to avoid a vehicle parked on the side of the road when it collided with an oncoming semi-truck. A female employee at the Holiday Inn in Downtown Pensacola shot a man during an altercation in the hotel’s laundry room on Monday. It happened around 11:30 a.m. at the hotel on Main Street. Pensacola Police say a man approached a female employee, leading to an argument. The woman, fearing for her safety, then shot the man in the leg. He suffered non life-threatening injuries. On Saturday, Feb. 8, 2025, around 1:30am, the Sarasota Police Department responded to the intersection of Fruitville Road and Golden Sands Drive after calls came in about a vehicle traveling east bound on Fruitville Road at a high rate of speed. The vehicle had left the roadway and collided with a power pole and retention pond. The driver, a 31-year-old male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
