One person died Thursday night in a trailer fire in Orange County, according to fire rescue. The fire happened on Lake Standish Boulevard, west of Apopka. Orange County Fire Rescue said two people called 911 to report the fire, which was spreading to nearby trees and to the property of one the callers. A 44-year-old man died Thursday night in a crash on the Southside Connector entrance ramp from Merrill Road, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Troopers said the man was headed northbound on the Southside Connector entrance ramp to I-295, north of Merrill Road when he lost control on a curve, then overcorrected, sending the car into a counterclockwise spin.
