The Largo Police Department is investigating a hit-and-run accident ending in a fatality on Wednesday night. According to the LPD, a person was crossing the road on Roosevelt Boulevard when a vehicle struck them and fled the scene. Shortly after the person was struck, a second vehicle hit the person who was still in the road. The person in the second vehicle did stay on scene, according to LPD. According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) spokeswoman Teri Barbera, a K-9 deputy was involved in the crash but no one was injured. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue says its agency dispatched units to the crash at around 4:35 p.m. near 3rd Street after receiving reports of the crash. A DeFuniak Springs man was arrested after crashing a stolen vehicle in Mossy Head. According to a news release, 32-year-old Dillon Grimes was spotted at Love’s Travel Stop driving a stolen car out of Jefferson Parish, Louisiana. Deputies said they caught up with Grimes and attempted a traffic stop near Walden Road and Highway 90. A man died after he caught on fire in a Florida parking lot on Tuesday afternoon. Shortly after noon, the Charlotte County Fire and Emergency Medical Services arrived at the Port Charlotte Town Center Mall, where they found a man with “burns over his entire body.” A medical helicopter was called to the scene; however, just as the helicopter was landing, the man went into cardiac arrest. Due to the lack of space for CPR in the helicopter, the man was taken
