Two injured after shooting along US-41 in Charlotte County

Charlotte County deputies are investigating a shooting that sent two people to the hospital near the county line of Charlotte and Sarasota Wednesday morning. According to CCSO, the scene was near U.S.-41 and Cornelius Boulevard. The nearby roads were shut down for hours but have since reopened. Mother of teen killed in Citrus Park mall shooting looking for answers: ‘He didn’t deserve this’

Investigators with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office are working to find who shot and killed a 16-year-old boy outside the Citrus Park Town Center Mall Saturday evening. 24-year-old arrested in connection to man found shot in car on I-295 at I-10 interchange

A 24-year-old man was arrested Tuesday in connection to the death of a man found shot in his car on Interstate 295 at the Interstate 10 interchange in May. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office found Derrick Nicholls, 22, suffering from a gunshot wound after the car had traveled off the road into the tree line. Nicholls was taken to the hospital, where he died. JSO said evidence at the scene led them to Santos Herring. Herring was already in jail on unrelated charges.
