A child was airlifted to a Miami hospital after suffering a boat propeller injury in the Florida Keys Thursday morning, officials said.

The incident happened around 11 a.m. in the Gulf about five miles off Mile Marker 48, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.

The juvenile reportedly suffered an injury to their leg from a boat propeller and was airlifted to Nicklaus Children’s Hospital in Miami, officials said.

Officials haven’t released any other details including the child’s age or condition.
