A West Palm Beach man died on Monday following a multi-vehicle crash in Broward County.
On July 24, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office (BSO) responded to a multi-vehicle crash with injuries. BSO says the crash occurred near Southwest 46th Avenue in the city of Pompano Beach.
Deputies’ investigation revealed that a Freightliner Box Truck was disabled, causing the driver of a 2012 Chevrolet Express and the driver of the box truck to be stopped in the right through lane.
Around that time, the driver of a 2024 Hyundai Elantra was heading northbound on Southwest 46th Avenue in the right through lane. According to deputies, the front of the Elantra collided with the rear of the Chevrolet, pushing the Chevrolet into the Freightliner.
AG, 76, of West Palm Beach, was a passenger in the Chevrolet in when the collision occurred. The drivers of the Chevrolet and the Freightliner were not inside their vehicles at the time of the crash.
Pompano Beach Fire Rescue (PBFR) responded to the scene and transported G to North Broward Medical Center to treat his injuries.
