Child and adult airlifted after Lake County house fire


Lake County Fire Rescue responded to a house fire in Fruitland Park on Saturday that has left has left two individuals hospitalized.

Per LCFR, a child and an adult were airlifted to a hospital for medical treatment.

Three others escaped the burning structure safely.

LCFR responded with multiple units, including E 52 and 56, T 53 and 59, and B 50 and 70. The Leesburg Fire Department assisted with B 60 and E 61 and 62.

The home is a complete loss.

The cause of the fire remains unknown at this time.
