A child was hit by a car Wednesday afternoon while exiting a school bus in Haines City, according to the Haines City Fire Department.
The crash happened at about 4:15 p.m. at the intersection of Chanler Drive and Highway 17/92, officials said.
A caller reported that a child getting off the bus was hit by a car, according to officials. Emergency personnel didn’t find any major injuries.
The child was taken to a hospital as a precaution, and the driver of the vehicle is being evaluated, officials said.
