Crash in Alachua County kills 1 person, sends 2 others to the hospital.

One person is dead and two more are in the hospital after a crash in Alachua County.

According to Florida Highway Patrol troopers, a Nissan sedan was traveling north on State Road 24 approaching Northeast 63rd Avenue around 7:30 Thursday night.

The Nissan driver crashed into a Ford sedan after the Ford failed to stop at the 63rd Avenue stop sign.

Both drivers and a passenger were transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville.

The driver of the Ford sedan was pronounced dead at the hospital.
